Soak your produce!

I’m cooking up some yummy food in my crock pot today!! 😋 I always wash my veggies first, but lately I’ve been researching the benefits of soaking produce before consuming. Let me tell you- I LOVE soaking them in a couple drops of Lemon! ❤️ Did you know that just rinsing your veggies and fruit doesn’t actually wash off residue and pesticides?! 😱 Even organic produce should be soaked!

Avoid cutting the vegetables up before soaking them, and limit the soak to two minutes or less in order to avoid excessive leaching of nutrients.


A little more info about Lemon:

This lemon essential oil is 100% pure, therapeutic-grade essential oil  that is cold-pressed from the rinds of lemons, giving its aroma all the brightness of the freshly picked fruit.

Originally from the regions of Asia, the lemon tree wasn’t common in Europe until the 16th century. It is a part of the evergreen family and reaches a height of about 20 feet tall. From those trees, 75 lemons are required to make one 15-ml bottle of Lemon essential oil. This is
accomplished by cold-pressing the rinds of the lemons, producing an oil with the aroma of freshly picked fruit.
