I want to start off by saying that I LOVE the Thieves hand soap from Young Living!!! We wash our hands ALL. THE. TIME. around here and go through a crazy amount of hand soap. I guess that also comes with having toddlers! I just can’t seem to keep up with ordering enough of the Thieves hand soap
I know that YL has new distribution centers so shipping times are going to be much faster than we are used to which is amazing, BUT I just can’t seem to keep up with ordering enough of the Thieves hand soap so I decided to do something about it… I feel like I just hit the jackpot!!! I have made my own Foaming Hand Soap!!
Here is what you’ll need:
A foaming soap dispenser
2 T of Dr. Bronner’s Catile Soap
1/2 teaspoon of carrier oil
25 drops of Thieves EO
Filtered/ Distilled water
*Add your castile soap, essential oil, and carrier oil to the bottom of the soap dispenser and then fill the rest up with filtered/ distilled water. Give it a little shake and it’s ready to use!
You can find the exact soap dispenser and soap that I used by following this link.
Now I can make as much as I want whenever I need to without having to wait on shipping! I’m so excited and it’s now in every bathroom!
I chose to use Young Living’s V-6 Enhanced Vegetable Oil Complex because I wanted to add a little moisture to the soap. Like I mentioned before, I wash my hand so much that often times my hands dry out and crack. This V-6 Enhanced Vegetable Oil Complex has Fractionated Coconut Oil, Sesame Seed Oil, Grape Seed Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Wheat Germ Oil, Sunflower Seed Oil, and Olive Fruit Oil.
Thieves is a great EO to use in a hand soap because of the cleaning properties it has by combining a blend Clove, Lemon, Cinnamon, Eucalyptus Radiata, and Rosemary essential oils. It smells rich and spicy and in my opinion a little like Christmas! <3
You can use any essential oil that you love, but with cold and flu season I personally choose this one to keep my family healthy!
If you try my recipe please let me know how you like it! I would love feedback!
